Refund Policy

Effective date: September 12, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when payments for tryal.dev Pro subscriptions can be refunded. tryal.dev is operated by Volodver LLC ("Volodver", "we", "us"), a Colorado, USA company. Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by our merchant of record and authorized reseller, Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar", polar.sh). Polar charges your payment method, issues your receipt, collects any applicable taxes, and processes refunds to your original payment method.

Polar's Buyer Terms govern the checkout and payment; this page is the refund policy those terms refer to. Refund decisions under this policy are made by Volodver and processed by Polar. Nothing here limits your rights under applicable consumer law.

1) Try before you buy

The Free plan requires no payment details and includes free problems plus daily run and submission allowances, so you can evaluate tryal.dev before purchasing Pro. We encourage you to use it to make sure Pro is right for you.

2) General policy

Except as set out in this policy or required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals and you keep Pro access through the end of the period you have already paid for; cancellation does not by itself refund charges already made.

3) Statutory withdrawal rights

14-day guarantee on your first payment. If Pro is not what you expected, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first Pro payment and we will refund it in full, whatever your country.

Consumers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, the UK, and some other countries also have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within a set period after the transaction. Our 14-day guarantee is at least as generous as those rights; where the law of your country gives you more, the law applies.

Nothing in this policy limits other non-waivable rights you have under the law of your country — for example, remedies for a service that is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

4) Renewals

Renewal charges are non-refundable except where required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from your tryal.dev account settings or via the customer portal link in your Polar receipt email, and renewal dates and amounts are shown in both places.

If a subscription renewed that you meant to cancel, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge. Where Pro has seen no meaningful use since the renewal, we may refund it as a courtesy, at our discretion.

5) Discretionary refunds and refund abuse

Duplicate charges and billing errors are always refunded — just let us know.

Outside the cases above, we may issue full or partial refunds on a case-by-case basis, for example where a technical problem on our side prevented you from using Pro and we could not fix it. Requests should be made within 14 days of the charge; use of paid features is taken into account.

Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour. Polar may likewise decline a refund in such cases under its Buyer Terms.

6) How to request a refund

  • Email us. Write to support@tryal.dev from the email on your account, including the order number from your Polar receipt if you have it. We aim to respond within two business days.
  • Contact Polar. You can also contact Polar, our merchant of record, at support@polar.sh or through the link in your receipt email. Polar provides first-line order support and will involve us where a decision under this policy is needed.

Approved refunds are issued by Polar to your original payment method where possible; card refunds usually appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Any sales tax, VAT, or GST collected on the charge is refunded with it (proportionally for partial refunds). When a charge is refunded, the Pro access it paid for ends and your account returns to the Free plan; your solved history is kept either way.

7) Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us or Polar before disputing it with your bank — most issues are resolved faster with a direct refund. To prevent chargebacks, Polar may also refund a charge and cancel the related subscription on its own initiative within 60 days of purchase. If you initiate a chargeback, access to paid features may be temporarily suspended while the disputed charge is reviewed. This does not affect your lawful rights to dispute a charge.

8) Changes

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will change the "Effective date" above; changes apply prospectively. The policy in effect at the time of your charge applies to that charge.
